Disapointment

Saw NOFX last weekend.

had a great time but .... can you say over rated as a concert?

maybe it was Bruce Senior's funeral... or maybe I'm just getting old.

I know one thing for sure, I'd rather sit home and watch Aud learn.

Paying the mortgage X 2

Nothing like a mortgage to make a guy feel needed....

How about two of them......
and I can't live at either of them.

seriously Melonie, do your damn job and get it sold.

and somebody rent the fucking condo before I go broke.

Waiting for religion

So we've got these neighbors in Pueblo that are ex-mormons. I guess since they used to live in Utah and grew up mormon like me they feel a certain "kinship" with me. Anywho, they've decided that they just have to take me to dinner before I leave. I've dodged them for 5 weeks but the guy cornered me today as I was leaving my house and invited me to dinner tonight. I didn't have the heart (or balls) to tell him no so we're going to Applebees at 6pm (Hooray, Applebees is so fucking good !!!!). It's 6:30 now and I've been over to their house and rang the doorbell and knocked and no answer. I don't really want to go anyway but now I'm getting stood up. Just as well, the neighbors are different than all the ex-mormons I know in Utah cause now they've found god at some other church. How fucking exciting is that? Nothing worse than dinner with a couple of religious freaks that think they've found what you're looking for.

FYI, what I'm looking for is an understanding that other's religious beliefs are not mine, I think the saying "don't care what you don't do" sums it up nicely. well, that and good old Karl Marx when he said "religion is the opiate of the masses". I'm also quite fond of "god didn't create man, man created god". Seriously, if you need the crutch then by all means use it but don't expect me to need it.

Missing my girls

So last friday I did something I've never done before..... I know, I know, what the hell could that be?

I called in sick
never done that before.

not only that, I called in sick when I wasn't.
I stayed home with my wife, daughter, sister in law, her husband, my mother in law and my father in law and packed up a Penske truck with nearly all of our worldly possesions.

we're moving to St. George Utah

drove out saturday
took a damn long time but my father in law rode with me. we had a lot to talk about and an Ipod with 27 hours of music on shuffle so it wasn't too bad.

unpacked the truck into a storage shed Sunday
took a bunch of stuff for M&A to the inlaws

painted, cleaned, patched drywall, at the condo on sunday so we can rent it out again
can't move in there with dogs :(

painted, cleaned some more and put up for rent signs on monday morning (yep, did the "sick" thing again ... tee hee hee)

said gbye to M&A
drove the penske to vegas
caught a $60 cab ride to the airport (got a reciept for $250)
skulled 3 out of 4 warm busch lights before getting through security
security took the 4th
bought a Quiznos TBG near the gate and found a $1 gambling voucher waiting for it to be made
put it in a slot machine
it gave me back a $259 voucher (viva Las Vegas)
cashed it in, caught my flight, ate in Denver, flew to springs, tried to play the "I lost my parking stub" game, paid full price anyway (technology gets you every time), stopped at a store to buy a gatoraide and a 113 mil powerball lottery ticket (24 29 30 33 54 P 37)

6 am safety meeting started my tuesday
spent the rest of the day working with curtis to put stucco popouts around the new windows and doors

slept til 7am wed
very busy with work (two sick days followed by a day of working stucco on my house so I had to do some catchup)

now I'm sitting at the dining room table missing those girls

Aud raises a ruckus

Got home from work tonight to find a wife that looked worn out. Aud spent all day at the sitters but just seemed to be whinney as all get out. I stuck her in the bouncer and started some dinner. She banged on the bouncer and jumped up and down and yelled right along with her dad. I think the wife's gonna have two loud mouths on her hands as soon as the young one learns to talk.....

should be fun
